Support the daily operations of a PMO in a company of the insurance sector
After collaborating in the implementation of the PMO, ASTANA has continued supporting this company in the daily operations of the PMO:
- Creation of the 2017 project portfolio
- Support to monitoring and control and closing of projects in execution
- Definition of document of understanding of projects pending of execution
Designing and implementation of a Project Management Office (PMO) in a company of the insurance sector
The challenge consisted in the definition of the mission and objectives of a PMO inside a company of the insurance sector. In addition, we developed and implemented project management methodologies and delivered training from different levels of the organization including the Board of Directors.
Management of a multinational project for a new business unit based on innovation and mobility for a major Consumers Association in Europe
The largest Consumer Association in Europe gave ASTANA the responsibility of project management the development of a new service line based on innovation and mobile technology. The project has different phases expanding up to 2017 and involves the coordination of providers and customers in different countries. This makes of paramount importance an appropriate management of multicultural environments and virtual work.
Management of a project for the technical renewal of core systems in a company of the insurance sector
Una de las compañía líderes en la prestación de servicios en el sector seguros tenía problemas para ejecutar con éxito el proyecto de renovación tecnológica de su núcleo de sistemas
ASTANA was contracted to make an initial assesment of a difficult situation with the project. Following our recommendations, ASTANA was also contrcated to monitor the progress of the project.
Main tasks performed by ASTANA in this projects are:
- Definition of project organization and technical architecture
- Vendor selection and negotiation with final candidates
- Monitor the progress of the project through different techniques (planning, progress reprots, quality audits)
The project is now progressing according to plan and ASTANA continues collaborating during 2016
Project Management training to get the PMP® certification
We collaborate with companies specialized in education to deliver project management training to achieve the PMP certification. All of our consultants hold the PMP certification themselvesand their large professional experience contributes to a good balance between theory and practice in our classes.
